Well it seems like everyone has a blog, why not me? I'd like to say that stamping is my hobby. But the real hobby is buying stamp stuff. Maybe if I have a blog, I'll spend more time actually stamping and using this mountain of stuff I keep buying.
Wow, I've been stamping for over a decade! Back then designer paper didn't exist and rubber stamps were hard to come by. The only punches had silver handles and came in circles, a diamond, and a rectangle. Boy have times changed. Actually, rubber stampers owe a lot to the scrapbooking industry which revolutionized paper crafting.
There are 3 things I love about stamping. First, is the thrill of the hunt, shopping for the perfect paper, ink, stamp, or accessory. Secondly, I love the stamp project production. Yes, the production not the design or creation. I am not creative or artistic but very analytical. So my favorite part of stamping is reproducing other people's ideas with my own twist. And finally, stamping creates a wonderful community of friends. My life has been enriched by friends and fellow stampers who I otherwise would have never met. The memories of stamping events and activities are priceless.
